Meet Our Surgeon

Elizabeth Bonefas, M.D., F.A.C.S. - General Surgery

Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Bonefas is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery and licensed to practice in the State of Texas. Dr. Bonefas has a special clinical interest in Breast Surgery.

A member of the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Bonefas earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology before going on to receive her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her post graduate surgical training at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston.

Dr. Bonefas serves on the teaching faculty of the St. Joseph Surgical Training Program and is an assistant clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine. Her hospital affiliations include St. Joseph Hospital, Park Plaza Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital and University General Hospital. She also serves on the Professional Standards Committee at MedCenter.
