Meet Our Medical Director

George Skaria, M.D. - Medical Director

As the Medical Director for MedCenter Ambulatory Surgery, Dr. Skaria is responsible for overall staffing and supervision of anesthesia personnel, oversight and enforcement of the Professional Standards Committee’s quality improvement, safety, and infection control programs, credentialing, and other clinical services.  An ex officio member of the Governing Board, Dr. Skaria works closely with members of the medical staff and administration to ensure the highest standards of patient care and customer satisfaction.   

A graduate of the University of Texas Medical School Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Skaria completed his residency and fellowship training in Anesthesiology at the University of Illinois in Chicago.   He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesia. 

Dr. Skaria is married and has two young children.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.
