Meet Our Surgeon
William Watters, M.D. - Orthopedic Surgery
William Watters earned a B.S. and M.S. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin, and an M.S. in medicine from Rutgers University
before attending Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified
by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and by the American Board of Spine Surgery.
Dr. Watters is the former chief of staff at the MedCenter Ambulatory Surgery Center and is an attending orthopedic surgeon at Saint Luke’s
Episcopal Hospital. He is also a lecturer and instructor for the Spinal Fellowship Program at Baylor College of Medicine’s Center for Spinal Disorders.
Dr. Watters’ professional memberships consist of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Pain Medicine,
the American College of Spine Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Cervical Spine Research Society, the Clinical Orthopedic Society, the Harris
County Medical Society, the Houston Orthopedic Society, the International Spinal Injection Society, the North American Spine Society, the Spine
Arthroplasty Society, the Texas Orthopedic Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Spine Society, and the World Spine Society.
Dr. Watters sits on both the Board of Directors of the North American Spine Society and the American Board of Spinal Surgery.
