Meet Our Surgeon
Michael Snyder, M.D. - Colon/Rectal
Michael Snyder graduated from Louisiana State University where he also earned his Doctorate in Medicine. Dr. Snyder completed his internship and residency at William
Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and various other army medical facilities and bases. He was awarded a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the
University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas. Dr. Snyder is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons,
and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
His honors include the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha, as well as being awarded with the Outstanding Senior Graduate of
the College of Chemistry and Physics, Resident Teaching Award and Family Practice Resident Training Award. His military honors include the Military Meritorious Service
Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for which he was twice decorated.
Dr. Snyder’s professional memberships are with the Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and the American Society of Colon and
Rectal Surgeons. He is currently a clinical instructor of colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and has served as
past president of the Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
